    Hello,
does Filebird works on frontend? My users need to post articles via frontend using a plugin called “Frontend Post Submissions Manager”.

Also, is it possible to activate access to one common virtual folder for all the users, but deactivate access to other folders?

    Thank you

    Hi @oloccina ,

Thanks for the inquiry, please note that FileBird does not work on frontend, also the folder restriction we have might not work this case you painted, sorry about that, please learn more about the folder restriction option FileBird has here:

    Thanks a lot.

    Hello there,

In addition to the above, the information is that FilBird works on frontend of Builders like Elementor, Beaver, Divi, Visual composer e.t.c

But we have not tested with that specific plugin you mentioned “Frontend Post Submissions Manager”, thou if the plugin runs like those builders mentioned, maybe it would work.

Could you please try to test it and let us know what you find?

    Thank you.

    Kind regards,

Thank you for your reply Bruce.
I already tested it and it does not work with “Frontend Post Submissions Manager”.
Filebird is a great extension to use in backend but I guess is just not the right one to use if you need frontend submission for guest post etc.

    Thanks!

    Hi @oloccina ,

We checked and found that the plugin “Frontend Post Submissions Manager” is new and has less than 10 active install as at a few hours ago when we checked.

If it reaches 1k+ installs, we will work to support it and make compatible with FileBird.

    Thanks a lot.

    Kind regards,
    -Bruce-

There is another famous plugin that has over 2K sales, check “Frontend Publishing Pro – WordPress Post Submission Plugin ”

If you ever decide to make Filebird compatible with that, I will gladly switch.

    Thank you

    Hi there,

The requirement as I just confirmed is 2k+ active installations, if you could please send us a link to the plugin’s page on wordpress.org, we would be glad to take a look at it and see if the API could be made compatible with it.

    Thank you.
