    Hello,

The sites which limit user only at frontend are buddypress sites, actually, buddyress almost the user center in the site, so it would be great if it support to integration with buddypress user profile menus. any plan?

    Great, thanks!

1# BTW, I found only one image will show up in one post even I upload several images, please check.

2# Another feature is upon how to upload images and insert images into post content! user friendly way is allow upload and insert images by click an button in Rick text editor menu.

For security reasons, I understand that it is really tough issue upon inserting images into post content. But here is an example which already support inserting images into post content by that way, and I post here for your referrance:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/image-upload-for-bbpress/

It would be much great mobile friendly if USP support that, since most of users are access sites in mobile mode, especially buddypress users, like Facebook or twitter users.

    Thanks, and nice day.

    Glad to help:

    1) That would be the Featured Image. To auto-display any other images, check out the setting, “Images Auto-Display”.

    2) USP includes the WP RTE when Rich Text option is enabled. Includes the Add Media button. Then you can use the “Images Auto-Display” setting to include them all in post content.

    Hi Jeff,

Got it, great, after testing just now, more image will show up at frontend.

and I found the “Add Media” button will only show up for the the minimum role of contributor, and all of images or media will be visible for any contributor users. the reasonable way is that a user can only view the images uploaded by himself, if it is not possible, I would like the capability of view all image is forbidden.

1# RT media is a buddypress plugin, which all users can manage images by himself/herself. https://wordpress.org/plugins/buddypress-media/

2#For anyway by theme CSS or plugin main file to forbid users to view all images, here is another plugin of buddypress for frontend post, but it does not support multple images upload, and it is out of support by the auther, anyway, post here for your referrance:https://wordpress.org/plugins/social-articles/

    Cheers.

    Hi Alex,

As far as my own tests go, the Add Media button is displayed only for Authors and better. Although that’s one area of WP that seems to change a lot, so I will have to re-test to verify display for Contributors.

To limit images only to the current user, you can use a plugin such as:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-users-media/

    It works great with USP.

We-users-media is really great match with USP, I think allow contributor to use “add media” button is quite reasonable since there more situation in mulisite! But, if you like, adding role and capacity setting page in USP at backend would be a more flexible option.

For now, the only thing need to do seems to handle intergration with buddypress, after that I believe there will huge market for USP!

    Success!

Thanks, and I leave a message for wp-users-media here:

    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/new-ui-at-frontend-to-manage-own-media/

I just mean media something like rtmedia, but medias can be reused, just for your reference.

    Thanks again.
