Yes, fewer plugins installed on a normal WordPress site make it lighter and faster. But can it be the same for a WordPress child site of a Network? I am going to globally turn off some plugins if that helps my site to be faster.

WP.com runs 200 plugins. It’s not plugins that make it slow, it’s BAD plugins 😉

I would only network activate things I know I have to have on every site, just out of general prinicple.
