Does it create two files on uploading via FTP?

    I uploaded some of my recent images via FTP. I used the plugin “Add From Server” to import those files in my Media Library so that they can be used in posts.

    Now I want to ask that does it create two copies of the same file? One in the 2014 folder (2014/7/xyz.png) or the image only exists where I upload it (like uploads/ftp/july/xyz.png)?
