    Hello!

    First off, Thank You for creating this beast of a plugin for us mortals to use. Gutentor is AWESOME. I love it. Now, the only thing I wish Gutentor had was a popup/modal block. The trigger for popup could be either a link, a button, or an image. All block plugins have video popup blocks, but none of them have a popup block for content other than video. It would be so cool to have this! Do you think it would be possible to incorporate it into Gutentor?

    Hello @songee,

    Thanks for the feedback.
    Currently, Here are few blocks which have popup options:

    Gutentor Elements => Button:
    Tips :

    • From Link Options Select Popup
    • The URL will open in popup
    • You can design a popup page using Gutentor Canvas Page Templates and add link of it to popup
    • You can design the popup page with any content

    Gutentor Elements => Video Popup:
    – It has popup option for video, youtube, Vimeo or self-hosted.

    Gutentor Modules => Gallery:
    – It shows Image and Video on a popup

    Gutentor Modules => Filter: ( Use Gallery as inner Block)
    – Same as Gallery

    I believe Gutentor Elements => Button will meet your requirements. Lets us know your thought.

    Best Regards!

    Hi @codersantosh,

    Thank you for getting back to me. Unfortunately, the solution you proposed doesn’t work as I’d like. The way it works is it opens the content of a page inside a popup window after about 1 second or so of loading. It doesn’t appear immediately as most popups work on the web. And on mobile, the popup doesn’t appear at all – the page content simply opens in a new page overwriting the content of the old page.

    The popup I had in mind was something akin to the ones seen in these pages:
    https://webdesign.tutsplus.com/tutorials/how-to-build-flexible-modal-dialogs-with-html-css-and-javascript–cms-33500
    https://www.w3schools.com/howto/howto_css_modals.asp

    I can probably replicate these by using a regular Gutenberg custom HTML block, but having these in a form of a Gutentor block would be way more convenient.

    Hello @songee ,

    I understand your concern.

    And on mobile, the popup doesn’t appear at all – the page content simply opens in a new page overwriting the content of the old page.

    I notice it too, we will fix it on the next version.

    We may create Gutentor Modules => Popup, a dedicated block for Popup. Thanks for the suggestions.

    Best Regards!
