""And, did you know that MarketPress is also 100% WordPress Multisite and BuddyPress compatible - so you can use it to start your own Etsy or Ebay style network of stores... where you take a % on each sale!!!""
    -----------------------------------
Does above statement true? can we create an Etsy style (products from all the sub-sites, displayed automatically on to the main page or atleast selected products on to the main site? with FREE MarketPress plugin?

    -----------------------------
i have created a demo site, and have tested all night yesterday....i have few conclusions, pls confirm

    1. Free / Pro MarketPress plug will WORK like ETSY model, with WPMU Dev specific themes, only not with just any free themes on the market ?

2.Free Marketpress theme has locked the "Enable Global shopping cart" so that, an ETSY style Global Products listing is NOT possible ?
some how i am confused with this, bcz your Marketpress ecommerce plugin page on wordpress.org say, make ur site like ETY style?

    3. with out item 2 enabled, any products, which are uploaded in the sub-sites, will not Automatically show up in the Product lists of the main site.

    4. there is no support/No documentation for FREE Marketpress plugin users ?

    pls enlighten me on this

    thanks

  2. Hi there @sgsai,

Hope your well today and sorry about the delay here.

1: The Free version will not, only the pro version, to work like Etsy, you need the global shopping cart which isn't available in the free version.

2: You can have use it a multisite way, with each store having their own site, but you are correct that global shortcodes and shopping cart is restricted.

3: That's correct, you could pull them, by indexing them and then query the index for the product post type globally, would take custom coding and strong knowledge of the WordPress API etc.

4: All support for the free version is handled here http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/wordpress-ecommerce

    Thanks!

    Kind Regards
    Jack.
