In posting new episodes on WordPress through PowerPress, I embed a Soundcloud player code before including the shownotes.

Of course, I want only the actual shownotes to be included in the shownotes on iTunes, not code from the embedded Soundcloud player. Does the media player automatically get disregarded from iTunes’s shownotes? Or do I need to do something to make sure that it doesn’t appear?

The embed should be removed, but the better approach is to go to PowerPress settings > Basic Settings tab and enable the option to include am embed code. Then when you create your episode, put the embed code from sound cloud in the box. Just below this check box on the Basic settings page is another sub-option to replace the default player with the embed.

Thanks for that. I did as you said, and put the embed code in the “Media Embed” box, but when I posted it, no Soundcloud player showed up.

Do you know of another setting I might have to change so that it appears?

That should have worked. Can you share the URL to the page in question?

Unfortunately I can’t because the site isn’t public yet. I’ll tool around a little more to see if I can make it work.

I had a thought over the weekend. Did you only use the embed box or did you also have a media URL entered? The episode box does not apply or save if the media URL is blank.

Turns out, one of the boxes in Media Appearances was unchecked. All good. Appreciate your help.
