I’m having concern that when ever I make an edit to an existing post, that i’m re-sending my pings to the blogging sites I have linked to in my post.

I’ve read that the ping sites which wordpress pings to by default receive NEW pings every time an edit is made to a post. This causes the sites to block you, since they think you are spamming. The recommended solution is to use a plugin that stops this…so that’s what I did. This whole thing is what got me wondering if the same thing could happen to me with the actual linked sites I have included in my posts. I don’t want them to keep receiving a new ping message every time i update a post.

This seems like it would be a common question, but I just can’t find an answer anywhere. I would appreciate it if anyone could clear this up for me. Thanks.
