Hello!

i was wondering if Autoptimize is automatically updating the pages etc.?
Or do I have to do something manually?

nothing manual to be done; every page that is not served by a page cache is getting created by WordPress core and that will trigger Autoptimize. If it finds differences in CSS/ JS it will automatically create and cache new optimized files.
