• I’m trying to globally (whole site) edit my pages and posts. The kind of thing I’m thinking of is changing the typeface, editing text elements, always putting certain terms in italics – and so on.
Is this possible in my version of WordPress — I mean is it inbuilt?

I can’t find a plugin that does it, I’ve got Front-end editor, and PlugNedit installed.

Thanks a lot for any help!

  • At least some of that is possible via the CSS in your theme – there’s no plugin that will automatically do that kind of thing, no. You have to know how to use basic CSS or ask on your theme’s forum. What theme are you using?

I think this would involve editing the site templates, and I don’t feel confident enough to do that.

I suppose I could also try batch editing the original Word files; but I’ve made desirable tweaks since, and that would be a lot of work. I could also copy the site files back to Word …. But again a lot of work.

I do find it remarkable that something so sophisticated and wonderful as WP hasn’t got these simple editing functions built in…. and perhaps even more surprising that nobody’s got a plugin for the job!

Thanks so much for the kindness of giving me some thought and help though, bless ya!
