Support » Theme: Pilcrow » Does anyone have problems with PIlcrow and WordPress update 3.5.2?

I updated to WordPress 3.5.2 a few days ago and ever since, my site keeps breaking. The hosting company couldn’t find a specific reason, but did say sometimes the theme is not compatible. Has anyone else had problems since updating? I really don’t want to change the theme and have made several CSS tweaks to it, so that it displays exactly the way I want it to. I couldn’t find a way to contact the theme designer. Does anyone know? Thanks!

All the posts, pages, media and CSS tweaks were gone. It gets repaired, works for awhile, then the same thing happens again. So far, 5 times since updating. Just repaired it again. 🙁

Bummer! Just happened again after being fine for two days. 🙁 Repaired the data base once more. So, could it be the theme then?

Also, the calendar and archives no longer work properly. is there any way to contact the designer of the Pilcrow theme? I haven’t found any info.

This would be the place – that’s an Automattic theme – from the WordPress.COM developer team. Don’t know how actively they support themes here. It’s also possible plugins are the culprit here… What plugins are you using? Have you tried deactivating them to see if you still have the same issues?

I just installed Pilcrow on a test site and don’t have any immediate problems.

I’m not having problems with Pilcrow and WordPress 3.5.2.

I agreed with WPyogi it’s probably a plugin issue. Try deactivating them one by one.

    Hi WPyogi. 🙂

Thanks for responses. I tried contacting the Automattic people but they said they couldn’t help me because I have a self-hosted site. Glad to know the theme is probably not the culprit. I deleted a couple of plug-ins, “Nrelate Flyout” and “WordPress SEO” (that’s the one that caused the calendar and archives to stop working). No crashes since last Thursday, so here’s hoping! I have to keep checking and repairing the data base though, which I never had a problem with before the update.

Lance is one of the theme developers from Automattic :).
