 * I eventually managed to find “Client portal settings” but that’s about it.
 * Tried “generate pages for existing members” and it claimed it had done so, but
   no sign of any.
 * Had to install a different plugin just for registration (which works OK) but
   there’s no sign that this plugin actually does anything at all.
 * Total waste of time.
 * UPDATE: – if you go to your users section, and then hover your mouse over each
   user, you’ll see “Private page” magically appear. Why it’s hidden like this I
   don’t know.
 * Further, that really is all it does, it just creates a single blank page. No
   file handling, no sections or template, just a blank blog post page. Pretty useless
   really but because it does just about function I’ve raised it from 1 to 3 stars.
 * This plugin desperately needs some kind of editable structure, such as “Invoices
   paid, Invoices due..” and some basic file management.
 * If I just give links to their files.. urgh, where to store them where Google
   won’t find them?
 * Basically I’ve wasted most of an afternoon setting this up, along with the other
   required plugin, figuring out how it works and then realizing it’s not a portal
   at all, it’s just a private blog post for logged-in users.

 * Hi,
 * Thank you for reaching out to us and for your review.
 * I am sorry for the inconveniences generated by using Client Portal. Client Portal
   Settings can be found in Users -> Client Portal Settings. Generated pages can
   be seen and accessed by the Admin in Users -> Private Page, as seen in the [Screenshots](https://wordpress.org/plugins/client-portal/screenshots/)
   section.
 * Users will be able to access their Private Page if you add the [client-portal]
   shortcode inside a page. When the logged in user will access that page he will
   be redirected to its private page.
 * Indeed this plugin creates a single private blank page that can be used in conjunction
   with other plugins if you need other features.
 * Maybe this [post](http://webmasters.stackexchange.com/questions/14520/how-to-prevent-a-pdf-file-from-being-indexed-by-search-engines)
   will help you regarding files that are indexed by Google or other search engines.
 * I am sorry you wasted an afternoon setting up Client Portal and thank you for
   your feedback. All your suggestions will be forwarded to our dev team in order
   to improve the plugin. The dev team will decide if new features can be implemented.
 * For any other questions regarding Client Portal you can always open a [support thread](https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/client-portal).
 * I wish you all the best with your project.
 * Best regards,
