Does AddToCart Track the Total Value of Items Added?

Dear Pixel Caffeine Team,

I noticed that when pressing the add to cart button, only the unit price of the item is assigned to the “value” parameter — even if more than one item were selected.

Is that the expected behavior? Or should the total value of all items added on a single click be forwarded to Facebook?

absolutely not, it’s clearly a bug! Sorry for that and thank you for reporting this.

I’m going to fix it with the next version. Meanwhile, if you want to fix immediately, you can download the plugin from the following link and activate it on your website in place of the actual one: https://www.dropbox.com/s/piyatihn6nqq665/pixel-caffeine.2.0.1.add-to-cart.zip?dl=1

You won’t do anything when the new version will be released because the fix will be already there 🙂

I just checked. When more than one items are selected, and the add to cart button is clicked, the total value is not set for the “value” parameter:

content_type: product
content_ids: [“28468”]
value: 177
language: en-US
currency: USD
userAgent: Show

The original sales price is USD 109, the discounted price is USD 59. The above pixel even was for 3 x USD 59 products.
