Documentation?

Is there any thorough documentation for getting this beast up and running and operating efficiently? I’ve used some other social media plugins, and it all seemed so simple and straightforward. I found a users guide here, https://ilocalsearch.net/wordpress-facebook-plugin-a-users-guide but it doesn’t seem to be up to date. Oftentimes, I’m just not seeing what the guide says I should be seeing after a given action.
