  • this is located on line 1 of header.php and should look like this:

    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC “-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN” “”>
    <html xmlns=”” <?php language_attributes(); ?>>

    mattskills, thanks for that. Ok, I was planning to change it to html 4 strict…what would happen if I do that?
    ALso, where do I find the header.php file please? How do I get to it?

    nothing noticeable will happen lol , and it is in the theme folder

    right ok, I thought that it will start giving me errors because all the code seems to be in xhtml. I will give it a go. incidentally I have a problem with html validation, but I will open another thread on that

    ah sorry, about the php file. I have created a child theme, so do I need to make a copy of the header.php and paste it onto my child theme folder?
