do_shortcode default filter

    Hi Stephen,
    I’m using the do_shortcode function for filter events by category and date. I need to know if it’s possible for me to load the landing page with a default category, because in 7 months were been created like 5000 events/occurrences and the function load every one of these… So if can load an empty category and let the user select the one that he want would be great. Let me know.
