    Hi,

I want to build a directory with paid listings. Does Connections Business Directory support paid listings?

  • Hi
I just designed a form in Contact Form 7 and added a Payment Gateway for PayPal. I will then have to add it to the website myself after I get the confirmation email which won’t be too bad

But icing on the cake is if the customer does it and you don’t have to interact with adding it.

It would be nice if you could monetise the Connections plugin but I couldn’t find an addon to do it.

Sorry if I have mentioned another plugin.

Yes, that is an excellent method at handling it!!!

I do have plans on developing some “connector” plugins. I do have a beta for Gravity Forms, available to those who purchase the Pro Pack (upon request). Even though I have not tested it specifically but it should be perfectly compatible with their PayPal Gateway addon allowing you to take a payment to automatically insert an entry.

Connections does not accept payments for listings. I do not plan on adding such features. I recommend you use a membership plugin like Restrict Content Pro to manage membership payments and renewals. This greatly increases your ability to monetize your site where a directory is just one benefit of the user’s membership.

There are other directory plugins which do integrate payments, but then you lock yourself into only being able to monetize your directory making it very difficult to expand member benefits and further increase your opportunity to monetize.
