I don’t have a definitive answer. I don’t use them myself, and so far it seems as if the answer must be “no”. I seriously doubt it’s a server problem; I incline to the “universal 2.0 flaw” theory.
I had an old 1.5.1.3 testblog.
Just updated (out of curiousity) to a vanilla 2.0.
Could send Trackbacks to:
– a 1.5.2 blog
– a 2006.01.01 nightly build blog
– to your site
IIRC, the issue is for people who updated to one of the betas first, but I could be wrong.
I did get the moderator’s trackback. I can’t send them though. I didn’t update to a beta first, so it isn’t that.
They work for me. Eventually. I’ve noticed in a couple cases that my trackback shows up as much as 24 hours later. Dunno why…
Have you read the support forum topic on this subject? The cure is there — you need to update execute-pings.php and add this to the end of the file:
execute_all_pings();
_e(‘Done.’);
?>
This will renable trackbacks. I’ve tested it. However, there does appear to remain a problem if a post includes both trackbacks and pings.
