    Thanks for this plugin.
    Do we need to have a wp.com account fro using it as this is the case with Jetpack?

    Hi @dsl225 –

    You can use Jetpack Protect with a “site-only” connection that doesn’t require a WordPress.com account. We do rely on WordPress.com to provide the Protect functionality, so your site will still communicate with WordPress.com
