Hi! I use Podpress for my podcast. It handles my mp3 enclosures nicely. Podpress also talks to iTunes for me, automatically putting my new podcast posts into my iTunes Feed ID.
I’m thinking about adding the FeedSmith plugin, which automatically sends my RSS feed traffic to FeedBurner. I haven’t tried FeedBurner before, this will be my first try. When setting up FeedBurner it asks if I have a podcast (I say yes), it says I should use the Smartcast feature. What does that feature do? Apparently it makes linked-mp3’s into an Enclosure, and it has settings for iTunes like my podcast graphic. The problem is I know WP already makes my mp3’s into Enclosures, and Podpress already handles iTunes for me. I don’t want to mess that up.
Will PodPress and FeedBurner’s Smartcast feature play well together? Are there good reasons to use or Not use feedburner?
