If you use WooCommerce with product variations, this plugin will remove your Add to Cart button. If you don’t use WooCommerce, I’m sure you’ll be fine. =)

    djnativus,

That’s simply not true at all. WP-SpamShield does not remove add to cart buttons. If you’re having an issue, it’s most likely due to a conflict or a site configuration issues.

I have to ask, why would you post a negative review without even submitting a support request?

We have a Troubleshooting Guide and FAQ’s for users to check when they have issues. There is also Support Request Form for you to contact us if those don’t work.

Our support is excellent and we respond quickly. Why not give support a chance before posting this negative review?

That’s a fair point. My apology. I just had a customer point it out to me and I was worried how many orders I lost. When I disabled the plugin, the add to cart buttons immediately came back.

I thought plugin support would just tell me to disable all other plugins, which most ask, which would put my site in an unusable state and I’d possibly lose some configuration. I just didn’t think your plugin was designed for WooCommerce.

I completely understand how disconcerting that could be. Our diagnostic process is very thorough and custom to each person who submits a support request. We will go out of our way to help you figure out the issue. That is my personal promise.

Our goal is to make sure this plugin is a leader in anti-spam for WordPress which means we need it to be compatible with as many other plugins as possible, and WooCommerce is a leading e-commerce platform, so we would not neglect it.

If there ends up being an issue with out plugin, I always fix it, and usually have a patch issued within a day. If you give us a chance to help you, I think you’ll see that. 🙂

I’d just like to chime in here and say that I have WP-SpamShield Anti-Spam running on a website that uses WooCommerce with a handful of products (not variable) and have not seen any instance of this plugin interfering with purchase options.

I also tested this plugin on a WooCommerce site (using Woo’s StoreFront theme) with variable products and again haven’t noticed any conflict. All purchase buttons are still available.

What I have noticed is the insane amounts of Spam it’s legitimately blocking and I can’t thank the author enough for saving my sanity with this plugin.
