I recently created custom images for all my products to add a background, since my primary images are transparent.

But it seems both images are synced to FB catalog. I’d like it to only use the custom image URL (when specified) and not the primary image.

  • Hey @nward85,

Thanks for writing in, I’ll be happy to help here!

Would it be possible to let me know what you have set for the product currently?

You mention using a custom image, is this within the edit product screen > Facebook > Facebook Product Image > Use Custom Image setting? Or if you could let me know how you’ve added the custom image alongside your primary image, I can run some tests locally to try and replicate!

To confirm as well, had you previously synced the product before adjusting the image settings, and then you updated the product to cause a new sync?

    Cheers!

    Simon.

    Hi Simon!

Yes I am using the Facebook > Facebook Product Image > Use Custom Image setting for the custom image.

And yes, I did sync the product before adjusting the settings.

    Thanks @nward85!

And would it be possible to let me see the result on your Facebook shop page?

If you’d prefer to share this privately, you can raise a support request via our support form, so that we might reply directly.

I’ll try and run some tests on my side in the meantime to see if I can replicate this.

    Cheers!

    Simon.
