• Hello,

Thanks for so much great work.

After several month testing, I found it works well in my MU sites, although, a lot of css and js will be missed after mapping domain as primary, but the plugin of WP Hydra can solve it.

But, for interacting and dynamic application, like buddypress, “wpDiscuz – Supercharged native comments” , all of the activities pages and the streaming pages will not work properly after mapping domain as primary, but these plugins are really key applications for us.

So how to make WordPress MU Domain Mapping to fit the interacting cases? Any suggestions and comments on this issue would be highly appreciated, have a nice day.

    Alex

You have something weird going on either in your web server config or a conflict with another plugin if this is happening. You should not be missing any css or js.

    For the BP question

    – What are your DM settings?
    – How have you configured your site so BP runs on the subsite?

    Hello Ron,

Thanks so much for your reply.

    –DM settings:
    Domain Options: I check 1\3\4
    1\ Remote Login
    3\User domain mapping page
4\Redirect administration pages to site’s original domain (remote login disabled if this redirect is disabled)

    –BP setting.
I following BP official instruction at https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/installation-in-wordpress-multisite/, and I choose B, Which means I installed BP in a sub site, with network wide activation.

Any comment for the above setting?

I test DM with a complete clean subsite with the theme of Twenty Fifteen, but the problem is still there.

I am not sure whether it is possible to ask you do me a favor to login my site backend and have a check, if yes, please let me know your email address, and I will sent you an Super Admin account, thanks so much.

    Thanks.

Try turning off 1 & 4 in the DM settings & see if that works.

    Hi Ron,

I follow your instruction, the status is same as before.

Buddypress site activity page still does not well, and “wpDiscuz – Supercharged native comments” does not work either,.

so where & what should I check next?

thanks so much, have a nice day.

It’s possible that BuddyPress doesn’t support running the social network on a domain that’s different from the main site domain.
