Hi @wpfan1000,
Thanks for reaching out! If your homepage is set as the latest posts page from Customize > Homepage Settings then your layout settings (including sidebar) will pull from your blog post archive settings. However, if your homepage is set as a static page then your layout settings will pull from Customize > Page Layout. Or else this can be overridden from your static homepage settings.
Hope this is helpful! Let me know if you need more guidance. And if so please provide a link so I can see how you have things set up.
Best,
Hannah
Hi Hannah,
Thanks for your response.
I should be clear – I mean the front page being a page not latest posts 🙂
However, if your homepage is set as a static page then your layout settings will pull from Customize > Page Layout.
So under Customize > Page Layout I believe one can set ALL pages as having a sidebar or not.
But what I mean to ask is this:
Say I want a sidebar on all pages except the front page.
How do I do that?
Or else this can be overridden from your static homepage settings.
Where do I do that? Is that in Customize?
Hey @wpfan1000,
Is your homepage set as a static page? If so, navigate to Pages from the admin panel and open your Home page. In the right side panel, open Page Settings and there you can select a normal or fullwidth page layout. https://ibb.co/8963Bt5
Hope that helps!

Thanks for pointing that out Hannah.
I would just like to point out a bug – in my browser many of these settings are cutoff by the right edge of the browser – the very right side of this image is my browser’s scrollbar……https://ibb.co/QNkdws0
Hey,
What browser are you using? Can you confirm that you are not zoomed in at all?
Kindly,
Hannah
Hi Hannah,
It was my first time using ibb.co to post the screengrab in my previous post and it expires in a week.
I made a separate issue for this with a screengrab that expires in a month and Ben has responded.
Glad you got a response from Ben. Let us know if there’s anything else we can help you with!
Best,
Hannah
