# Do NOT install update

 * Somehow the automatic update deleted my DB table “Mediatagger”. Which means my
entire site is not working anymore, all my tags are lost, and I can start anew
   tagging many hundreds of photos.

 * After disabling and re-enabling the plugin manually, it seems to be better than
   expected.
 * Before I got about 10 to 15 DB errors on my screen, both in the admin console,
and in the site itself. Now those are gone, and my tags seem to be back. I’ll
   further investigate.

 * So far everything seems to be working again, except for the tag cloud. Much better
   than I initially feared.
 * Still don’t understand why it claimed not to see the table, and I didn’t even
see it through PHPMyAdmin. Now it’s back somehow, and it’s filled with the correct
   data.

 * Got the tag cloud back up & running. The default result page was malconfigured
after the upgrade (in the widget).
 * All issues now solved.

 * Sorry to read this – I went through really extensive testing before releasing.
 * What’s the conclusion at the end , Did you have to work around some aspects ?

 * OK – I got the point. 3.2.1 widget options are stored in options “wpit_widget”
   in the database.
 * Starting 4.0 it is stored in “mediatagger_widget”.
 * I need to set a bridge from one to the other. In any case, a simple copy/paste
will be enough meanwhile, not too big deal.
 * Very sorry for the emotion and thanks for the feedback 🙂

 * I will fix it quick and provide as 4.0.1.

 * I have the same problem with the Mediatagger automatic update. Unfortunately,
I’m also a simpleton about all this web design. (I’m lucky I’ve even got a site
up and running.) In very simple terms, how do I disable Mediatagger? Thank you!

 * [@dr](https://wordpress.org/support/users/dr/) ginny: in the screen “Installed
plugins”, just click on “deactivate” under media tagger, and right after, just
click activate again. The widget is a little bit harder to fix, but it might
work with the new version provided by the developer.
 * [@phd38](https://wordpress.org/support/users/phd38/): The creepiest thing was
not the widget (though it was the hardest to fix). The worst was right after
doing the update, the screen gave me 10-15 errors saying he couldn’t execute
a query on the main mediatagger table (because the table was missing). Those
same errors were displayed on the top of the page when looking at my site or
the admin console. Somehow deactivating & reactivating fixed this issue for me.
 * The reason I posted so quickly is to warn people as early as possible. I always
double check the support forum before upgrading an important plugin to a new
major release. In this case it seemed there wasn’t an issue, and I thought I
might have been the first to experience this issue. Luckily the problem solved
itself, considering I run a photoblog it would have taken me a looong time to
   retag everything.
 * Anyway, I’d like to say thanks for the great plugin. And thank you for the quick
response. I really couldn’t live without Mediatagger on my site 🙂
