Support » Installing WordPress » Do not have a login page

  • I’m technically challenged…I was following a youtube tutorial to get my site up and running with Fantastico through a c-panel. I get everything set up, but when I click to go to the admin page it just takes me to my domain name page (through go-daddy).

Nothing I have tried seems to make it go to a log in page. I’ve erased it all and tried again with the same results.

  • Even I am facing the same problem, I installed wordpress via godaddy. It is intalled but when I click on login link it takes me to wp-admin and nothing thereafter. I am not able to figure out whaat next. Please help.

Hey mlwork, a friend of mine found my problem. I didn’t associate my godaddy account with my hosting site. This site helped, and I think it will fix my problem.

Hey thanks for the link, but I have already done this and am still facing this problem.

How long ago did you associate the hosting site with go daddy?

I purchased the domain and hosting both from godaddy. So I guess this means godaddy is my hosting site.

I contacted godaddy support and they told me that my domain name is still pointed to the started page. I will need to locate the IP address of the hosting account and then modify the A record on the domain.

To Locate Your Hosting IP Address

Log in to your Account Manager.
Click Web Hosting under your Products menu.
Next to the hosting account you want to use, click the Launch button.

Your IP address displays in the IP Address field in the Server Details column.

To modify the A-Record for a domain:

    1. Select Domains from the Products menu.
    2. Click Launch
    3. Click the domain name link then Launch the DNS Manager on the next page
    4. Under the A (Host) section, click the record with @ as the host name and make the change.
    5. Click Save Zone File

    Hope this will help me.
