    @andylkatz,

    Sorry for the trouble. You could ask for support before leaving any negative review but anyways, I am happy to help you (if you’re still interested).

    Now I am stuck with an outdated version of my website that I essentially have to build from the ground up again in order to do simple things like caching, etc again.

    I am no pro but from what my tech guy has told me, this app modifies essential parts of your site that you cannot undo if you wanted to (style sheets etc).

    – I totally disagree with what your tech guy said. This plugin doesn’t make any modifications (nor even touch any stylesheets or any other files).

    The plugin only appends (yes appends, not update) a few lines under .htaccess file which is necessary to enable GZip and Browser Caching. All the popular performance tuning plugins does the same and without appending those rules to .htaccess, performance tuning is not possible.

    Kindly follow the steps provided under plugin FAQ ( https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-performance-score-booster/#faq ). I’ve very well described about : What if I get 500 Internal Server Error?.

    Alternatively, you can delete all the lines that start with # BEGIN WP Performance Score Booster Settings and end with # END WP Performance Score Booster Settings in .htaccess file, and it should fix your issue.

    I am looking forward to your feedback.

    I have read and already taken both steps and my htaccess file seems to still be malfunctioning as now I am having issues with my contact forms not sending me customer leads to not being able to add any new plugins.

    I am pretty close to just starting my site from scratch all over again..

    Let me know what additional steps I can take to revert my site back before your plugin was installed.

    – You don’t need to start your site from scratch all over again if the reason for the issue is this plugin.

    – Paste the contents of your .htaccess file here.

    It’s almost 2 days now and I didn’t hear back from you so I guess you’ve managed to fix the issue?

    I appreciate your comments here, because the plugin doesn’t do such things that’s what your tech guy specified (told you).

    @andylkatz I’ve adjusted the title of your review.

    I fully get that you are unhappy, but ALL-CAPS ATTENTION GETTING titles is borderline abusive. Please do not do that again.

    The author has kindly offered to assist you and his replies has been quite good. If you do need support for this plugin, please feel free to open a support topic.
