# Do “Linked Lists” exist in WP?

 * Hey everyone,
 * I’m just curious to know whether it’s possible (either built-in to WP or through
   a plugin) to create what is called a “Linked List”, which is basically a post
   that doesn’t have a permalink, but instead the title of the article links directly
   to an outside URL.
 * I believe MovableType has this, but I haven’t seen any similar functionality 
   in WP. They’re basically used to link to other articles on the web while making“
   small” comments on them but not associating a complete post to them.
 * Just curious.

 * Not a core capability. However, it could be done either via a plugin or with 
   some theme edits.
 * If I were going to do it, I’d tackle it with Custom Fields. [Using_Custom_Fields](http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Custom_Fields)
   would be a good place to start, and there exist some plugins to help out as well.

 * I actually found this :

 * Works well for the most part (except for being a royal pain in the ass to do)
   and I’d have to hack it up a bit to get it to work exactly the way I want it,
   but for the most part, it does work.
 * Except the RSS feed. When you click the link from the RSS feed, it goes to my
   site instead of the URL. I guess ideally I wouldn’t want an actual post created
   when I link stuff.. not even sure if this is possible.
