Do I Still Need to Edit bb-config for Forums to Transfer?

    Boone, JJJ, and Ron,

    I’ve installed BP-Multi-Network alongside Buddypress, WordPress Multi-site, and WP Multi-Network. My intent is to be able to provide a system of systems where each new network can function like the core one — all of the same capabilities.

    One of those is to have group forums. In looking at the documentation, I’ve gotten confused at the edit bb-config.php part. The only bb-config.php file I’ve been able to find is inside of BP and it has some very strong language to not edit it. It also says the “real” bb-config.php will be in the WordPress core, but neither I nor my host (Pagely) can find it.

    Is editing bb-config.php still a current requirement? If so, are their updated instructions on how to do so?

    At the time I wrote those instructions, the bbPress plugin didn’t exist & BP used the standalone version of bbPress. You can skip the bb-config.php edit.
