Do I need to move WordPress to the root directory to use multisite?

    I read that I have to move the WordPress files to my root directory in order to use subdomains for multisite. I read that here. Can anyone confirm whether or not this is true?

    Hi jacobrf217,

    To use subdomains for multisite you don’t need to move it into root directory. MultiSite means installing on one domain for multiple networks. Also viewed on a link which you have provided and every things seem correct.
