Support » Networking WordPress » Do I need to disable each plugin I update?

    Hi,

Very simple question that I can’t find an answer to in the codex or forums.

I have been disabling all plugins across my network anytime I want to update any of them – and I’ve just realised this is probably not necessary.

Can plugins be updated without disabling/enabling them?

I think I have confused updating WordPress (where you should disable all plugins) with updating individual plugins.

    Thanks

Yes! 😀 WP will disable/enable for you 🙂

Heck you don’t even need to turn off plugins before a WP upgrade anymore.

    Bing! Cherry vanilla.

    😀

Cheers Ipstenu, I got your book (the 101) a couple weeks ago and it has been helpful too.
