Support » Plugin: Relevanssi - A Better Search » Do I have to manually rebuild the index?

    Hi there,

    I am using this plugin to limit the search function to locations within the SimpleMap plugin only. That being said, does the index need to be rebuilt every time new locations are added, or will the plugin automatically crawl the site every so often? Thanks in advance!

    Relevanssi doesn’t automatically crawl the site. When posts are published or updated, the new posts are indexed. If the content changes without triggering a post update, Relevanssi indexing isn’t triggered either.

    I don’t know how the SimpleMap plugin works. If the locations are posts and adding a new locations means that a new post is added, then yes, Relevanssi will take care of the indexing automatically.

    Great, thanks so much for the quick reply @msaari!

    Hi Mikko;
    I’am using wp_insert_post function for adding new posts. But Relevanssi is not triggered. I can not solve this problem.
    Would it be correct to use this code in wp cron?
    relevanssi_build_index(true);

    (I have a big database)

    Thanks for this great plugin.

    @ceewp I would start a new support ticket to ensure an appropriate response.

    You’re right Tim, have a nice day. Thanks.
