    Hi,

I tried to only use paypal express. So I deactivated all the default payment gateways from woocommerce. Then I see this “Sorry, it seems that there are no available payment methods for your state. Please contact us if you require assistance or wish to make alternate arrangements.”

Does your plugin only add another payment gateway? I hope it replaces woocommerce default payment gateway.

    Thanks,

    James

    Hi James,

If Express Checkout is the only payment gateway you have enabled then there is no need for your actual checkout page. The checkout button on the cart page should send you straight into the PayPal login/checkout pages.

One of the primary benefits of Express Checkout is that users don’t have to fill out those forms on your checkout page, so that’s why it’s setup this way.

I do have plans of adding an option so you can go ahead and add PayPal into the checkout page’s payment method section like any other gateway would show up, but I still wouldn’t recommend doing it that way even when I add it unless you have some very specific reason to.

    Hi Angelleye,

Thank you for your quick reply.

If customers use paypal express to pay, will they see shopping history under their username?

    Thanks,

    James

They will as long as they’re signed in to your site when they complete the checkout. You could setup WooCommerce to require this, and then when they reach the order review page on your site (after logging into PayPal or filling out CC details and getting returned) it would ask them to either sign in or create an account.

If you don’t have login required and they aren’t logged in then it would simply check them out as a guest.

    Hi Angelleye,

    Thanks.

You mean users will return from paypal to my website after logging into paypal? I will see digital goods on my website. According to this link at paypal, users could stay at my site.

I tried to add a digital goods at my site and run the sandbox. But I can’t login paypal. I just logged in to create a sandbox account and signature.

    See the product here.

P.S. I wish I could upload several screenshots about the setup.

The digital goods features are something that will be included in the 1.2 release of the plugin which is scheduled to be completed in a month or so.
