    Yup – that’s blank !
    Which version of WP are you trying to install ?

    The latest stable one, whichever one is linked with the large box on the download page…1.2.1
    I did install mysql and it is running and there is a database for wp…
    I have mysql 4.0.15 running because that’s what my school said to install, but I can double check if I can upgrade it. My school’s webhosting runs PHP4 I believe.

    Oh and phpmyadmin definitely works so I’m not sure what is going wrong

    Try a phpinfo – just to check php version ?
    Paste this into a new Notepad / BBEdit file
    <?php phpinfo(); ?>
    Save as ‘info.php’
    Upload to server. Visit in your browser (

    Raargh. Forgot to specify the server port name. :/

    Thanks for the help.
