    Hi Costas, glad to help.

So you are using two plugins for GA stuff, correct? If so, which two plugins? I gather that one of them is this one, GA Google Analytics. Just need to know which other plugin, so I can provide accurate infos.

Hi i am using WordPress Google Analytics Integration fo the UA -xxx and now GA Google analytics.

Ok so if I understand, you want to add both GA4 and Universal Analytics to your site. Does that sound correct?

Thats what i am asking…Do i need both? or may i keep only the one that supports GA4? since the GA property will stop on end of june…. but i want to be sure that ga4 works fine and collects data!

It’s entirely up to you, depending on your site goals, SEO, etc. Basically you have three options if wanting to add GA to your site:

    1. Add only GA4
    2. Add Universal Analytics
    3. Add both

Whatever you decide, you can do it all with this plugin, GA Google Analytics.

But in thisplugin i can register only one GA Tracking ID…SO i will register only the GA4 tracking id? or the old one UA-xxxxx ? and if i will do the second what will happer at the end of the june?

On the plugin home page, about three paragraphs down, it explains how to enable both GA4 and Universal Analytics. So you can enable both. Then at the end of June or whenever Universal stops working, then GA4 will continue to collect data, while Universal won’t do anything. Later, you can re-configure the plugin to use only GA4.

I hope this helps. Let me know if I can provide any further infos. Glad to help anytime.

    In page source i see this in GA section ……..gtag(‘config’, ‘G-VN4WDC2VMQ’);

You just need to follow the simple steps explained on the plugin home page, as explained in my previous comment above. The plugin takes care of all the code, so you don’t have to worry about it. Hundreds of thousands of users have implemented the same technique. If you are curious about the code, implement the technique and then examine your web pages. Let me know if any questions, etc.

    HI Jeff,

Just picking up on this question ….. I’ve followed your steps on https://wordpress.org/plugins/ga-google-analytics/ but it doesn’t say where/how to add two codes, both UA and GA4. The plugin only seems to allow one code to be added – either UA or GA4, but not both.

    Am I missing something?

    Thanks,

    Sal.

    Hi Sal,

I spoke incorrectly, the free version of the plugin supports only one tracking method at a time. The pro version supports both. Apologies for any confusion over this. Let me know if I can provide any further infos.
