Do feeds add to stats?

  • I am just curious. I use feedburner and see I have over 20 readers depending on the day. When I look at my blog stats on WP, are those 20 part of my daily total? How do RSS readers inmpact the stats? How does the system know when the reader pulls the new post? I am running on my own server, not on WP.com if that makes a difference.

  • which stats are you refering to? WP-Stats? I believe if you are using feed burners, the clients are handled by feedburners directly they don’t access your WP at all.

I mean the stats on see when I look at Global Dashboard.
I am asking if my blog knows that a reader read my post, even via RSS feeds.
    No big deal, just curious.
