I’ve built a CMS website using WordPress. I haven’t used the blog and the ‘discussion’ options haven’t been used on the pages.
I have added both a ‘shop’ and a ‘forum’ plugin and here lies the problem.
The forum is being used as a customer services Q & A area and is only to be used by customers that have purchased one of the support plans from the shop. On purchase the website administrator sets up a forum account for the purchaser for say a week or whatever, and send them the details.
The problem is accounts and accessibility. To purchase in the shop they need to sign up, does this create a account that can then be used to access the Forum, absolutely not what we want.
Do all the account elements have to linked?
Are there plugin where this is not the case?
Does everything on WP have to be connected accounts? i.e Shop account, Forum account, WP account we don’t want these to be connected.
