 * So i moved my domain from NameCheap to Squarespace and wanted to keep my website
   on WordPress but after doing so Squarespace said i needed to get my DNS settings
   from wordpress and i am not able to get them due to my website being down and
   can not get into settings on my websited hosted through wordpress. i am trying
   to login thru pullpandave.com/wp-admin and to me it looks like squarespace is
   trying to point that domain to a different website
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Fdns-settings-6%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)

 * An individual installation of WordPress from wordpress.org does not provide any
   DNS management. I suspect you are using the wordpress.COM service. The difference
   is explained here, for example:
 * > [What’s the difference between WordPress.org and WordPress.com?](https://wordpress.org/documentation/article/difference-between-wordpress-org-and-wordpress-com/)
 * If so, please contact the support of wordpress.COM with your request: [https://wordpress.com/support/](https://wordpress.com/support/)

 * [@ppdmarketingway25](https://wordpress.org/support/users/ppdmarketingway25/) ,

   I agree with [@threadi](https://wordpress.org/support/users/threadi/), if your
   site were self-hosted, your hosting provider would give you the DNS records.
 * I checked your domain via a public WHOIS lookup, and your nameservers were pointing
   to WordPress.com, so it looks like the site is hosted there. Since your domain
   is now at Squarespace, you’ll need to update the DNS settings from their end.
   This guide walks you through the steps:
   [http://wordpress.com/support/domains/connect-a-squarespace-domain/#update-the-name-servers-yourself](http://wordpress.com/support/domains/connect-a-squarespace-domain/#update-the-name-servers-yourself)
 * You can also reach out to Squarespace support and share the name servers with
   them as per steps here: [https://wordpress.com/support/domains/connect-a-squarespace-domain/#option-2-contact-squarespace-support](https://wordpress.com/support/domains/connect-a-squarespace-domain/#option-2-contact-squarespace-support)
 * Please note that, it can take between 48 to 72 hours for the DNS to propagate
   across web.
 * I hope this helps.
