I tested yet again, and strangely on mobile responsive Version its working correct, click on heading, and after scrolling to the heading perfectly. But on the Desktop Version not?
WP Version 5.5.1 and Divi 4.6.5
Any Idea?
Thx
Sally
Sounds like a fatal javascript error is on the page. Please open the page in Chrome of the Edge (new version), hit the F12 key, and click the Console tab. What are the errors shown before and after clicking on a TOC item?

Hello Steven,
thanks for the reply. Checked with Chrome as suggested, no errors in Console are shown, also not when click on TOC item
When I reduce the width to 980px and the mobile menu appear, then the scrolling when clicking on the links are working perfect.
Best regards
Sally
Sorry, without a link to the page with the issue, that’s is the only guess I can give.

I found now the issue. I use https://wordpress.org/plugins/jquery-manager/ Plugin. When i set jquery to Version to 2.2.4 it works fine. When i set jquery to actual version 3.5.1 its not working.
How do i get toc working with actual jquery 3.5.1 ?
Thx
Best regards
Sally
Changing the jQuery version strongly suggests that there is a javascript error being generated. Can you please check again for errors being reported in the browser console?
That said, I installed jQuery Manager and changed teh version to 3.5.1. ezTOC functioned correctly with jQuery Migrate both enabled and disabled. This suggests that the javascript error is caused by another plugin and not ezTOC.
I hope this helps!

I have yet just Divi and TOC activated, and its working. Activating jQuery Manager with Version 2.2.4 / jquery migrate 3.3.0 still working. Changing to jQuery 3.5.1 link click on scroll not working. Checked again the Console, no errors being generated
Unfortunately, I have no other guess as to the cause since I can not replicate it.
Here are my suggestions,
- Do not use jQuery Manager. Why? Because all themes and plugins are expecting the version bundled with WordPress. Changing that version will likely have other unexpected results.
- Navigate to the Table of Contents settings admin page, scroll to the bottom of the General section and disable the Smooth Scroll option. My best guess there is some sort of conflict between the jQuery version, the theme, and this feature.
