• Hi, hope you can help

I’ve used Ditty News Ticker on a number of sites in the past, no problem, great plugin.

I’ve come across a problem though when I’m using it with Divi theme from Elegant Themes.

At first, everything works fine and the ticker displays as expected. But I was working on a way of being able to easily enable/disable the ticker (i.e. switch it off when it’s not needed).

The simplest way to do this is just to ‘unpublish’ the particular ticker so that there is nothing to display. This has worked OK for me before.

However, when I do it on a site running Divi theme, I just get a blank screen (below the header) on the page where the ticker should be – all the page content disappears.

I’m not sure how much help it will be, but you can see the effect if you go to my random test site http://www.themooringsbushey.co.uk/. This page has images, content and a ticker, but none of it is shown when the ticker that is referenced is in draft. If I changed the status of the ticker back to ‘published’, everything starts working again.

    Thank you, any help appreciated

I’m not quite sure. There isn’t anything in the ticker that should effect the rest of the content… There may be something built into the theme that handles shortcodes differently than the default behavior that is causing this.

You may want to contact the theme author to see if they have any insight.
