Divi Theme Double Image Posting – NOT a Featured Image issue

Hi,

This is my first post so sorry if I make an etiquette mistake. I have had no luck finding an answer to this issue on any forum or support so if someone has posted this exact issue, apologies and the link to solution would be much appreciated 🙂

I have Elegant Themes’ “Divi” theme for my WP 4.1.1 site surf-stats.com. I haven’t had this issue before, but today I selected “Add media” at the top of a post to insert a picture. The original size was too large so I removed it from the post, clicked edit image, made it smaller, then clicked “Add media” again to insert the image.

There is only 1 image visible in the post editor, but when I view the live site it has the original sized image, then my resized image directly below it, every time.

-I have deleted the image and reinserted.
-There is NO Featured Image set for this page (this is a common solution I kept finding but not relevant to my issue)

I have tried removing parts of the code that looked like a duplicate for the image, but that has resulted in either no change, or just a small text box with the edited image title.

If you’ve had a similar experience or know what could be the cause it would save me a lot of trouble, this is driving me nuts! Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!
