Divi Shop categories reset

    Hi

    When setting up a Divi shop module I’ve excluded certain categories.
    This is kind of ok for the initial view (although the filters still show a number count that’s selectable even for the hidden categories – for example, Ride Level 9 is selectable, even though this category is hidden in the Divi shop module).
    The big problem occurs when the filter is reset and then all categories become visible (for example, ‘Gift vouchers’ in the linked page.)

    Hi,

    When you use Divi Shop module, it runs a custom query of the products. When you select the product filter, it runs another custom query to override Divi Shop module. Thus, it is unable to detect the excluded categories entered in Divi Shop module.

    OK, thanks.
    Elegant themes suggest your filter to work with their Divi shop module.
    Only being able to filter ‘all categories’ is quite limiting.
    I appreciate you probably created the plugin to work with WooCommerce and not Divi but elegant themes shouldn’t be suggesting it if it’s not compatible and I’ll need to find another solution.

    I tried using the WooCommerce shortcode but the same problem occurs
    [products limit=”16″ columns=”3″ category=”novice” cat_operator=”AND”]
    Not sure this is a Divi issue?

    There could be a workaround to solve that excluded categories concern:
    – On your Divi Shop module, select the categories that you want to show: https://share.getcloudapp.com/4gum5ypx
    – On Themify Product Filter, exclude the categories you don’t want to show: https://share.getcloudapp.com/GGuNLoqD

    That should work as users won’t see the categories you excluded.
