# Divi Builder – New Version

 * I’ve been notified that there is a new version of Divi Builder available and 
   I have a few questions about this:
 * 1) My website is only comprised of several pages of content, along with a shopping
   cart. Now that it’s been set-up with the help of a previous version of Divi Builder,
   I don’t need to update it much at all. Understanding this, do I even need to 
   update Divi Builder?
 * 2) If it is in my best interest to update Divi Builder, then how can I go about
   updating to the latest version (2.18.1) if when clicking this link (View version
   2.18.1 details) in dashboard, it’s giving me the following error message: An 
   unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with WordPress.org or this 
   server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support
   forums.
 * 3) Currently, I’m using an older version of WordPress and I’ve been notified 
   to update to 5.0. Also, I am using Twenty Seventeen and Divi themes, yet am being
   told to update those as well. The professional who created my website has installed
   a child theme that I’m using since I needed customization. So, should I update
   any or all of this? I’m worried that by updating anything, I will mess up my 
   website.
 * If it is wise to update WordPress, Twenty Seventeen and/or Divi, then please 
   tell me what I should update and how. Updated within WordPress or my hosting 
   panel.
