Divi Blog Module excerpt broken by Event Manager

The excerpts of the Blog Module of Elegant Themes Divi are not showing when Event Manager is activated. Somehow the plugin interferes with the post queries of the module.

Hello Caimin,
Thankyou for your swift reply. I am only using the EM widgets (locations, events and agenda) and a customized Divi Blog module (to display locations in style of theme).
I have removed (deactivated) the widgets and the customized Blog module to test if the issue persists, which it did.
