div in page not working

  • Hi,

    I’m inserting a div in a page and it is not working.

    .mydiv {font-style:normal; font-variant:normal; font-size:15px; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color: #746d6d; margin:0px 0 0px 1px;padding-left:0px; }
    .mydiv ul {list-style-type:none;}
    .mydiv a:link {color:#e10653; font-weight:bold; font-size:21px;}
    .mydiv a:visited {color:#e10653}
    .mydiv a:hover {color:#e10653;}

    then in the page html view <div class=”mydiv”></div>

    Only the font-size is working, links are nor working with the new style nor anything else. So, how could I insert a div in a wordpress page?

    I’m using neni template.

    unless you post a link to the page with the problem, nobody will be able to comment.

    your styles might be overwritten by some existing more specific styles (?)

    try to use a browser inspection tool such as Firebug to find out what is really doing the formatting of the links etc.

    Hi, thanks for your answer. It is not a good idea to paste the link in this case although I understand the point. I tested the div issue in other themes and works just perfect. Neni theme is just too limited, attractive at first view but very poor in programing. Thank you very much for your help.
