  • 1) You didn’t use the divs right have a look at the errors http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bluestravels.com%2Fcategory%2Fcool-regions-and-pitstops%2Fvirginia%2F

    2) You didn’t use clear:both; in the stylesheet (footer), so the floating of the sidebar will continue…

The problem with the divides was a plugin for category order, called Category Order 1.9.6

It did not work well with my div tags. So, I switched to mycategoryorder 1.0 and that solved that issue.

As for the footer, clear:both fails to produce a result. It changes nothingg. Hmmm

The problem, I didn’t see earlier, is that you use position:absolute for your sidebar.

This takes it out and the footer will be displayed direct beneath your body. Try float:right for the sidebar.

This is the best community online. Thank you!!

I will try it and come back and let ya know.

Float:right shoved the sidebar to the right. And the footer still rose up behind it.

I tried float:left for the sidebar, which returned sidebar to the left side where I want it. Then, using clear:both

For the record, neither adding overflow:hidden or overflow:visible to footer worked to force footer below sidebar.

    Clear:both was the clincher.
