# Distorted Images

 * Does WordPress do anything with images that lowers their quality? I have no plugins.
   I have screen shots which look crisp and professional on my computer, but every
   time I add one into my post, it renders in the browser all fuzzy and hard to 
   read.
 * I have them all set to full size on the page. I have no idea what would be happening.

 * WordPress does resize images using your server’s ImageMagick (the preferred default)
   or GD Graphics library, and it respects the quality setting of the server’s library
   itself.
 * You can override that with a plugin like [https://wordpress.org/plugins/ewww-image-optimizer/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/ewww-image-optimizer/)

 * It’s not WordPress, it’s the stupid Edge browser. I switched to Chrome and the
   images are crisp and perfect.
