Distance functions ?

Hi,

1st – Fantastic plugin!

I am wondering if there is any way to generate distance based views of the calender… particularly

– A calender view [events_calendar] with a user provided distance filter (X miles from a zip/post code, or place, or lat/lon)

– A google map view of all events on a particular date

Because these would really make my day! Code snippets, collaborators and hacks more than appreciated!
