Disqus Syncing Issue
I’m having a major syncing issue with DISQUS.
I was able to successfully sync my old comments to DISQUS, but new comments made with DISQUS are NOT syncing back to my WordPress database. If I stop using the plugin, comments made since I activated it (several days’s worth) will be lost.
DISQUS support suggested I set “allow_url_fopen” to “true,” but I understand this is problematic security wise. I’m hoping there’s another way to go about this.
Another odd thing is that with the Thesis them, comments made with DISQUS are not reflected in the comment count at the bottom of the posts on the front page.
I like a lot of the things DISCUS does, and would like to continue using it, but these problems are rather critical. If anyone can help, I’d appreciate it.
