Displaying Variable Products Individually, Ready to Add To Cart (5 posts)

    http://www.us.thomaspink.com/ties/accessories/fcp-category/list

At that site, you'll see the Tansey Plain Woven Ties's variations are displayed separately, and if you click on any of those variations, the variation loads and is ready to add to cart (not the parent product with variations available - though it's variations ARE available on that page, too).

I need to do this WooCommerce but I don't think it can be done out of the box (displaying the variation of a product instead of the product). Has anyone I follow found a workaround to this?

As it is, the client is requesting that if this is not possible, each of his products' variations be added as separate products (which is not the right solution)...

Product variations are stored as a custom post type so you can just use WP_Query to do it. The CPT name is 'product_variation'.

It would certainly require custom code to get this.

Here is the same ? mentioned on the WooCommerce forum, with a note from Mike that they'd log it for future release: https://github.com/woothemes/woocommerce/issues/719 but that was a few years ago.

Can anyone rescue it? It would be HUGELY helpful. I could contribute a few $$ to helping it get finished.

@Curtis - But then how would the client manage it for years to come.

It's just a posts query so when they add new products they'd show up. Nothing to manage as far as I can see outside of the content in the WordPress admin area.
